Day 4

Day 4: Discipline: Creating order within My Flesh

Watch the Video Above: Discipline - Dorrien

Overview: Living a disciplined life means that my body is existing in a structured way, day by day by day. The more order I can create for myself, the better I can set myself up to hear from God and understand what He may be saying to me.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 9:27 NLT

27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.

Practical Guide: Today, I am going to intentionally choose things that are good for me that draw me closer to God. The things that I will pay attention to today will be my time, my eating habits, my exercise, my rest time, my family time, my work schedule and finally how much time I spend with God.

Prayer: Father, because You have won the victory over death, hell and the grave, I rejoice in hope, believing that You will help me to keep my body into subjection and under control. Temptations may come, but help me to keep my eyes focused on You, the Author and Finisher of my faith.

Quiet Time Moment: For the next 60 seconds, sit quietly (without distractions), embrace the presence of the Lord and seek to hear His voice.
