Day 3

Day 3: Transformation: Changing My Body Towards Christ

Watch the Video Above: Transformation - Bob

Overview: Change is hard but it is possible. Changing our body towards Christ means that we are striving to stop doing things that are not good for us and start doing things that are good and Christlike.

Scripture: Romans 12:1-2 NLT

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Practical Guide: Today, take a cup of water and place it into a plastic cup and place it in the freezer. Wait for it to freeze over, and under and inside and around. It will take a while but it will change from a liquid to a solid over time. Think about those areas of your life that need to change. Write them down and begin to pray over them. Invite another trusted friend to join you in this prayer.

Prayer: Dear Lord, I know that my body is not my own, but of You, and because of this, I have received your mercy. Help me to renew my mind to the truth of God’s word, and to serve and bless the body of Christ through my gifts by being loving and devoted to You and one another.

Quiet Time Moment: For the next 60 seconds, sit quietly (without distractions), embrace the presence of the Lord and seek to hear His voice.
