What to expect...
We understand. Coming to a church for the first time is uncomfortable—we want to do what we can to fix that. No one is going to single you out or ask you to stand up and give your name. Simply show up, grab a cup of coffee, bring it into the Auditorium and relax. Over the next hour or so, there will several different elements all designed to help us connect with God and understand the life we find ourselves in (see Our Celebration) Feel free to participate however you like, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
What about my kids?
When attending on the weekend, all children and youth have their own experiences. When checking them in, you will be greeted by a helpful team member who will warmly welcome you and your child and answer any questions you might have. Children will remain in the Compass Kids area for their entire class time. We are excited about this opportunity for our kids and youth to experience our value for worship in this way. Overall, we have designed our children's and student ministry to help your child feel cared for, build healthy friendships, and learn how much God loves them.

Next Steps...
After attending Compass for a while, you may want to know what next step you should take. Well, it’s simple. There is no particular plan or step by step process that we adhere to in order to get people better connected here.
We do provide however a path that we feel provides guidance for those who seek to live as a disciple of Christ. We first suggest that you become a member, or what we call a Compass Partner, by simply filling out a Join the Mission Card. After doing so, we ask that all partners of Compass strive to do these things:
ATTEND 1
Attend church every week
Put attending church as a priority in your life
23Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:23-24 NIV
SERVE 1
Join a Serving Team
Just start doing something and watch how much you enjoy it.
Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10 (New International Version)
GROUP 1
Connect with others and take time to grow with them
Take a "faith risk" and become a part of a Small Group.
And all the believers met together constantly and shared everything with each other, selling their possessions and dividing with those in need. They worshiped together regularly at the Temple each day, met in small groups in homes for Communion, and shared their meals with great joy and thankfulness, -Acts 2:44-46 (Living Bible)
I-2
1. Invest
Invest in Compass through giving and praying
Strive towards giving a tenth of your earnings to Compass and pray for the health of your church.
That is, each Sunday each of you must put aside part of what you have earned. 1 Corinthians 16:2 (Contemporary English Version)
2. Invite
Share the gospel with the people in "your" world
Ask permission to tell your story, God’s story and invite them to church with you.
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20 (New International Version)
QT: "QUIET TIME"
Spend quiet time and invest in your maturity in Christ
Spend time with God throughout the week reading the Bible and praying.
6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. -Philippians 4:6 NIV
5Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth. 16Avoid godless chatter, because those who indulge in it will become more and more ungodly. -2 Timothy 2:15 NIV
